Run time : 2h3min

Genre : Drama / Sci Fi / Romance

Cast : Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy, Margot Robbie

The morning after a not so good New Year's Eve party, Tim's father tells him the men(I don't understand why the men and it's not passed by the mother, but whatever!) in their family have the ability to time travel, only in the moments they already lived, if they enter a closet or a dark place and clench their fists (eye roll).

Tim tests the theory thinking it's insane, and he goes back to the night before, where he gets to right the wrongs.

He then goes through life trying to find love.

He moves to London, with his father's acquaintance, Harry, who is always angry because his wife left him,or maybe not.

Tim goes to dinner with his friend and co-worker (they are lawyers) to a restaurant where they eat in the dark (I don't know who had this idea of such places and if they really exist, but I find it beyond stupid!),and he meets Mary. Things go well, they meet outside, Mary likes him, and gives him her phone number.

When he gets home, Harry tells him his play was a failure due to an actor who forgot his lines. He goes back in time to help him, but he never meets Mary. Recalling her obsession with Kate Moss (so dumb!) he attends a Kate Moss exhibition until he sees her. She accepts to have lunch with him and her friend, and he finds out she now has a boyfriend. He asks her how they met so he goes back in time,to meet her at the party before she met her boyfriend.

They meet again for the first time, and start dating.(I don't want to sound like a b1tch,but they have s3x that same night, and the guy is not attractive! She found him that attractive when she just met him!)

The movie started somewhat well, but it started boring me fast, to the point, I was on my phone the second part of the movie.

The leading actor is unattractive, and the leading lady has ugly haircut after ugly haircut, meant to uglify her. Actually most of the actors were unattractive, and the ones who were attractive, were given ugly haircuts or clothes to make them unattractive!

Also, I don't think I've seen so many (unrelated) gingers in one movie, before!

Tim's sister is so annoying at the beginning of the movie, acting like a kid towards Mary.

The movie's action takes place through probably 20 years, but everyone, especially the leads, never age a day, they look exactly the same throughout the movie!

Towards the end of the movie, when he knows he can't go back to see his father anymore(because his wife keeps on having kids, and if he goes back the child will be different),they go back in time together, holding hands, and Tim turns into a child!?How the h3ll that happens?!

The movie is labeled a romance comedy, but I assure you it's neither, definitely not a comedy, it didn't make me laugh once! Not to mention that his sister has a terrible car accident, and his father SPOILER gets canc3r and d1es! How is that a comedy?!

I think the movie was inspired by 'The butterfly effect' (2004),which was much better, they even mention the concept.

Rachel McAdams played in another movie like this, 'The time traveler's wife' (I hated that one too),so it seems she has an affinity for such movies.

The acting was fine. My favorite character was the play writer who was always angry, played by Tom Hollander. Margot Robbie has a small role in the movie as the annoying 'girl who got away' who said one thing but meant another, I guess so she wouldn't hurt his feelings.

I don't remember the soundtrack, only the songs played, which were the songs of the early 2000's,the likes of Tatu and Sugababes singing .

The movie received mixed reviews, and grossed 88.5 million dollars at the box office against a budget of 12 million.

The movie is 7 days free on Paramount+, Paramount+ on Amazon Channel, Paramount+ on AppleTv Channel, Paramount+ Premium, Paramount+ Basic with Ads; for rent / sale on Amazon, AppleTv, Fandango at Home, Fetch.

Rating : Could have been a contender !
