200 years after her death, Ellen Ripley is cloned by a team of scientists on a medical research vessel. The movie opens with a successful removal of the alien from inside the host,Ripley.

The scientists are more interested in the alien,as I guess,they want to use it as a weapon,thinking they can train it,like a dog,to do their bidding.

They don't care much for Ripley,but they decide to stitch her back up,I guess,to see how well she can learn.

The scientists look insane in their obsession with the alien,the way they look at it,as if they're enamoured with it.

 

Ripley wakes up and sees a number on her arm,8. The scientists study her,and try to make her learn ,as if a baby. Hearing she remembers her past life, the general wants to k1ll her,afraid she might k1ll the aliens.

Her blood being cloned, Ripley got some unusual side effects,as in,she got the aliens acid in her blood,she is very strong, and she can feel them.

The crew of a pirate vessel is getting ready to board the medical research vessel,as they have an unwritten contract with the general,to provide them people for their research.

They deliver them the cargo and the medical research team place the 7 people in front of alien eggs about to hatch.

Call,one of the members of the pirate vessel,enters Ripley's cell wanting to k1ll her,hearing who she is. After a talk,she leaves without k1lling her.

 

In order to escape,the aliens(about 6 of them) they keep in a small cell,start fighting,sacrificing one of them,its acid burning holes into the floors of the vessel. Nobody told them the alien has acid for saliva(evil laughter).

Ripley escapes and joins the crew of the pirate vessel and the remaining officers of the medical vessel, trying to k1ll the aliens,and survive this nightmare.

The movie was good,and stands the test of time. The dialogue was good,it has some funny lines,it's action packed,having some really good fight scenes,or should I say,shoot scenes. It even has the love factor,or should I say,a bit of romance,though the couple of the pirate vessel,the woman suffering visibly after the man's death.

The opening reminds me of Korn's video 'Make me bad' which now I'm thinking was inspired by this.

The visual effects were great!

The acting was good. Ripley,for some unknown reason always looks like she's attracted to everyone and is ready to jump them,but maybe that's a side effect of the alien crossing,in more ways than one,as in,she can feel things about people,like for example, who has an alien inside.

 

The soundtrack by John Frizzell was fine.

The movie received mixed reviews, grossing 161 million dollars against a budget of 70 million.

The movie was nominated for 6 Saturn Awards.

CinemaScore audiences gave the movie a B- on a A+ to F scale.

The movie is 30 days free on Hulu, and is for rent / sale on Amazon, AppleTv, Fandango at Home.
