Axel Foley is a Detroit undercover cop, who's last unauthorized operation goes bad, when officers who weren't informed ask for ID's,resulting in a truck chase through the streets, destroying a lot of cars, causing a lot of damage.

Axel's superior threatens him with firing him if this happens again.

Getting home, he finds his house was broken into by his childhood friend, Michael, who got out of jail 6 months prior, and is now working as a security guard in Beverly Hills, for some art curator. He also stole some German bonds from this person.

Coming home from the bar, Axel is knocked unconscious ,and Mickey shot.

Axel asks his boss to give him the case, but he tells him to stay away from it, or he's gonna think he was involved in some way, so Axel leaves for Beverly Hills, where he starts investigating on his own.

The movie was action packed, the characters were likeable, the cops were all nice, I liked that they worked together. There were also a few funny scenes, like when Axel sends the cops meals to their car from his hotel room. I also liked Axel's conversation with Serge.

I don't know why it's called 'Beverly Hills cop' as he doesn't work there, and he's not allowed to either.

The movie was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and it reminded me of Bad Boys, to the point I was wondering if this was the inspiration for it. The movie has in it the strip club with the stripper who's bad at her job, because they never impress with a pole dance, they just dance around, half naked, badly. And most importantly, the chief who is giving him a hard time, but ultimately likes him, like the Bad Boys movies do.

The acting was fine, but at times,in the fighting scenes it's obvious it's staged and they don't hit each other.

The soundtrack at times was fine, other times didn't match what was on the screen, like with the first truck chase scene.

Viewer discretion is advised as the movie contains nudity and vulgar language. On a scale on 1 to 5,it would be a 1.

The movie is streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple Tv, Fandango at Home, Netflix, Paramount Plus, The Roku Channel and on your Roku device.

Rating : Worth a watch !
