The movie is the 4th installment of the franchise started in 1984,and the characters which weren't k1lled off are all returning. Jerry Bruckheimer is also returning as a producer, as he skipped on the 3d movie.

Detective Axel is working with a young cop who never achieved anything in the 5 years he's been there. He knows a robbery is going down at the hockey arena, and he intends to stop it. Trying to do so, he takes a snow truck he destroys stuff with, costing the city, and his boss's superiors want to see someone fired. Instead of firing him, his boss and friend, Deputy Chief Jeffrey Friedman, announces his resignation, as he feels it's time, telling Axel to visit his estranged daughter in Beverly Hills.

Axel's daughter is in the business of helping criminals,as she thinks the man is innocent and was set up by a dirty cop, and she almost gets k!lled when masked men almost throw her car off the parking building's upper floor.

Rosewood, who retired from the police force, is telling her to call Axel for help, telling her she is so much like him, but she doesn't speak to him. Rosewood calls Axel, and next thing you know, Rosewood goes missing.

Back in Beverly Hills, Axel doesn't waste much time, and gets arrested. He calls his daughter from the police prison, but she keeps on hanging up on him.

When she finally comes to get him out, only because he mentioned Rosewood is missing, he finds out the detective on his case used to date his daughter. After she pushes both her ex and dad out, her and Axel go check a car at the impound. He tells her the reason she and her mother moved to Beverly Hills was because the local mafia was threatening their lives, and his risky job also led to her mother leaving him, but she doesn't want to hear it. Too little too late, she's a strong independent woman now,she needs no man, definitely no cop, which her ex is. Apparently her father teaching her how to defend and protect herself is cop sh!t she doesn't need to know!

Although John Taggart retired in the last movie, he's the chief in this one, as he got back with his wife, and needed the money (nice save!). He tells detective Bobby Abbott to stay off the case, like always in this franchise.

Wanting to get to the bottom of this, detective Bobby Abbott, the ex, teams up with Axel, who ends up in police custody again,as the bad guys ,again, are crooked cops.

The movie follows the narrative of the old ones to the dot : it starts with Axel's mission in Detroit, which leads to Beverly Hills, where he gets arrested, not wanted and sent back home, where he doesn't want to go. Also, let's not forget the collage Beverly Hills scene, when he arrives in town. It even has the mandatory Sylvester Stallone movie poster. I honestly think they missed the opportunity of asking Sly for a cameo in the movie.

Foley was like Batman in the city of Detroit,as everyone knew it was him driving the snow plow and hated him,for it! Ok,so maybe like a Batman villain!

I hated the daughter who was annoying and a b!tch to everyone : her father, her ex..always angry and being mean to people.

The helicopter scene was my favorite, I laughed with tears. I also liked the first one, with the snow truck when he tells his colleague to call it in, and he calls his wife! And let's not forget the 'meter lady' giving parking tickets!

I found the movie funnier than the last one. I don't even remember if I laughed watching the 3d one, and I watched it yesterday!

Serge is back, and he's my favorite from the franchise!

The movie has beautiful, sunset colors, reminding me of summer.

The acting was good. Mark Pellegrino (Lost,Supernatural series) and Christopher McDonald make cameo appearances.

The soundtrack was the same as the previous movies. They kept the style with playing an upbeat song while showing us car chases, and songs which don't match the visual.

The movie is a Netflix production, and is streaming on the platform.

Rating : Worth a watch !
