FBI agents Malcom and John are assigned to track escaped convict Lester Vesco, who might be looking for his ex girlfriend ,as she worked at the bank he robbed, when they were together. His ex girlfriend, Sherry Pierce, is also a suspect in the robbery, as the money were never found.

Lester is seen around Sherry's house right when she and her son leave scared, when she hears Lester escaped.

 

Malcom and John are surveilling Sherry's grandmother's house, hoping she might visit.

Big Momma receives a phone call from a friend,who invites her to stay over for a few weeks, as the person has health problems.

That very night, when they install the cameras, Big Momma receives a phone call from Sherry, and Malcom answers. Because he invited her over, they create a prosthetic mask and fat suit, so Malcom can pretend it's her grandmother.

Becoming Big Momma, Malcom has to deal with her boyfriend, must help women give birth, as she is a midwife, and attend self defense classes.

Malcom falls for Sherry, as he tries to find out the truth from her.

I didn't enjoy this movie as much as I did the first time I watched it. The movie is funny and silly, although last night I didn't find it as funny,just silly. Malcom doesn't really look like Big Momma, he looks like himself, and also sounds like himself, not like Big Momma. This is one of those movies in which you have to suspend your disbelief.

There's also some tasteless jokes like the one with Big Momma on the toilet.

I liked Big Momma's house, it looked so beautiful from the outside! I also liked the idyllic town with its surroundings,the beautiful lake with fireflies.

The colors were beautiful too, giving off this warm atmosphere.

The movie received mostly negative reviews, but earned 174 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 30 million!

The negative reviews might be stemming from Malcom not looking like Big Momma, and not sounding like her either!

The actors were great. Cedric the Entertainer has a small role as the priest.

I didn't like the soundtrack, which is R'N'B and hip hop music,which sounds very commercial,and outdated.
