The movie is based on Christine Angot's book 'Un tournant de la vie' and is written by the director,Claire Denis, and Christine Angot.

Sara has been in a relationship with Jean for ten years, and they still love each other. In fact, they look like they are at the beginning of their relationship.

After coming back from the seaside,Jean is contacted by his old friend,Francois, whom he stopped talking, when Sara left Francois for Jean,10 years prior.

Going back to work,Sara sees Francois on the street,in front of the radio station premises she works at. After seeing him she becomes another woman,as it turns out she still has feelings for him.

Having to meet him at a party hosted by the agency Jean and Francois work for (Francois contacted Jean to work with him at his firm),Sara is completely taken with Francois. They exchange numbers, and they start seeing each other behind Jean's back.

Jean has a 15 year old son,who lives with his mother (meaning the kid's grandmother,as the mother is absent, having a new family, and wanting nothing to do with her own child, from the previous marriage ),because Jean was in jail for a while (we're not being told why-if we were told,I don't remember),and who is acting out because he feels his father doesn't love him either,as he never has time to see him.

The movie is an emotional turmoil as I guess, Sara does to Jean what they did to Francois. At first I thought Francois wanted revenge, but he really wanted her back, and Jean keeps on saying he'd leave her,but stays. To me she was the problem, as she didn't know what she wanted, or who she wanted, always going back and forth with both men.

The actors were all good,Juliette Binoche was the best. Juliette was 56 years old when she filmed the movie and looks amazing!

The soundtrack was good.

The movie was good,it didn't bore me,but it's not a movie I'd watch again.

The movie made 1.8 million dollars worldwide.

The movie received positive reviews from critics, and won the Silver Bear for Best Director, at the Berlinale Film Festival.

Viewer discretion is advised,as the movie contains nudity.
