Bridget Jones's baby

Run time : 2h3min
Genre : Romance / Comedy
Cast : Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Emma Thompson
The movie is the sequel to the 2004 Bridget Jones movie, and the 3d installment of the series, which apparently will have a sequel, set to be released next year in February.
It's the 9th of May,and Bridget turns 43 years old (I could have sworn her birthday was the 9th of November in the previous one! I know, because I watched it before watching this mess! ). She spends her day going to the memorial dedicated to Daniel Cleaver, who is missing after a plane crash. She sees Mark Darcy (with whom she was engaged to be married in the last one),with his wife,Camilla (this was the name of his ex wife who cheated with Daniel Cleaver).I love it when the ones involved in making a movie care so much about the details that they don't get anything right (eye roll)!
Bridget spends her birthday alone, as her friends are married now, and have kids, and even her gay friend is adopting a child with his partner. So she decides to go to a festival with her co-worker and friend, Miranda.
At the festival, she meets new people, like billionaire Jack, whom she has a one night stand with, and Ed Sheeran, whom she and her friend, who work in television, don't recognize!
Going to one of her friends' Christening, Bridget meets Mark, who tells her he is divorcing Camilla, and they end up sleeping together. Bridget leaves early in the morning, as she doesn't want to get back with him, as apparently, most of their relationship(of 5 years, they've been separated for 5 years also) he wasn't there, working most of the time.
Weeks later, Bridget finds out she is pregnant, and doesn't know who the father is.
Bridget is a television producer now, and decides to invite Jack to their news show to ask him personal questions. After a weird show, Jack spots Bridget, and she admits to him she's pregnant, without telling him she's not sure the kid is his.
She also tells Mark she's pregnant, without telling him she doesn't know if it's his.
This leads to awkward meetings until the two find out about each other, and start trying to gain Bridget's affection.
I don't know about you, but Bridget and the audience of these movies are too old for such games!
I personally didn't like this acting like a teenager, going to festivals, sleeping around with strangers and getting pregnant not knowing who the father is! She was too old for such things!
I read they're making a sequel, and I'm honestly sick of the love triangle and messing around! The actors are in their mid to late fifties or mid to late 60's ( Renee is 55, and Colin Firth is 64!)!What are they're gonna show us next? Bridget splitting from Darcy just to have a love triangle and get back together?! (I always hated love triangles! ) This recipe is for teenagers, not adults!
The movie was not as good as the previous ones, or so I think, since it only made me laugh once, when Darcy carries Bridget to the hospital!
The actors were great!
Ed Sheeran makes an appearance, and I'm honestly sick of seeing him in all the movies!
The soundtrack was good.
The movie is on AppleTv for 7 days free, Max, Max on Amazon Prime with subscription,on Bundle on Disney+,Hulu and Max,on Hulu and Max; and for rent / sale on Amazon Prime and AppleTv.
Rating : Worth a watch !
