The movie opens with the father (which is also the first chapter of the movie), who tells his son today is the day he’s gonna shoot his first bullet. When he finally pulls the trigger, it skips to the next chapter, Dagger, in which we see the lead, who doesn’t have a name, spits into his step father’s cup of coffee, as he sets the table. Right after, we see a couple fighting on the street, and as our lead wants to help the woman, after the man leaves her, she lashes out at our lead, who tried to help her and got beat by the man!

Our lead is a 14 year old who may be cutting himself. After the man b3ats him up, as his nose bleeds, he lets it run on his face, smudging it on his face.

The lead has a girlfriend, Vika, whom he tells stories about how his father was a Bullet Collector, who was at war, sort of, with the Wood Borers, who even caught him once, but he escaped ,although injured! His mother had to put him back together, and then he disappeared when he was just 5 years old. He also tells her he used to be in love with a Wood Borer he was supposed to k1ll but couldn’t, and now both sides see him as an enemy. He promises to take her once to the Wood Borers’ meeting place. When he does, they fight with a man who took money from them, and they want it back. He doesn’t have the money, so they k1ll him. Our lead takes the time to feel up Vika, while hiding!

One evening, while smoking on a bench, in the park, a man asking for a smoke, tells him about people stealing organs from others.

At school he is b3aten up, and after he’s being b3aten up by a guy asking him for money, he picks on a child, asking him for money!

A woman asks him to help her with her cart, in front of a mall, and he tells her about how he saw people having s3x outside, which makes her say he likes to make up stories, point which makes us realize we don’t know what’s real or not, what really happens, as our lead is a deceiver.

After the Wood Borers k1ll the man, we find out our lead is also rude to his teachers, and holds a knife to one of his colleague’s throats. This gets him into trouble, and when his parents asks him what did he do, he threatens his step father.

Some teenagers pick on him while on the street, and beat him up, so he pulls the knife and stabs one in the thigh. Trying to run from them, he is hit by a car, and after he spends some time in the hospital, he is taken to the penitentiary school, where hell continues.

Personally the movie bored me. I watched the movie for my favorite actor, Pyotr Fyodorov, who appears for almost 5 minutes, I kid you not!

The movie is shot entirely in black and white, and the visual effects it has, remind me of a music video : it goes slow, fast, and skips. I liked the way the movie was shot, the angles, the close-ups,the blurred vision, especially at the beginning, the movie is beautifully filmed.It’s almost like a dream, nightmare.

Although, mostly an anti-coming of age drama, the movie also has horror elements in it, it’s a short scene of a d3ad man taking his innards out and wrapping them around his head, and then there’s these nightmarish shots of people screaming, their faces covered in blood.

The movie has uneasy, long scenes of blood dripping including on people, the lead sticking his hand in some guy’s mouth, or just people holding hands.

The lead is an unreliable narrator, as we don’t know what’s real or not, once he even confessed to Vika his stories aren’t real. He is also unlikeable due to what he does to people, especially kids.

The movie is called Bullet Collector, because of the story the boy tells about the cops who come to a crime scene just to collect the bullets. These cops are Bullet Collectors. He pretty much calls himself a Bullet Collector too.

The movie is segmented in chapters, the first one, Father; 2 – Dagger , 3 – Vika, 4 – School, 5 - There used to be a wasteland here, 6 – Old house, 7 – Dead Man, 8 – Debts, 9 – Dagger’s Owner, 10 – The road, and then I stopped counting as they're too many.

The actors were great.

The soundtrack was great, unsettling, eerie.

The visual effects were good.
