Dani is a good guy who takes care of his dying father. After he dies, he and his sister decide to go together on vacation as soon as possible.
While eating out by himself, he is approached by a trashy looking woman - she is tattooed all over ,even on her face, and she's wearing this skimpy dress which looks like a nightgown ( I thought she was a prostitute) - who is asking him to give her 20 euros to pay for her meal. Being a good person, who can't say No to people, he gives her the money.
As he leaves the restaurant, she follows him, and he can't escape her, as she keeps on asking him to walk with her as she is afraid. Embarrassed to say No, he once again, follows her. She takes him to the tattoo shop she's working at, makes him drink, I'm guessing, tequila, although he keeps on saying he doesn't drink, and even gives him a tattoo he doesn't want, because he's too embarrassed to put his foot down and say No.
She takes him to her place, where she makes him drink some more, against his will, and starts a so called s3x scene. The woman is asking him to choke her, pull her hair..I'm guessing that reminded her of her man, because that's what we see him do later on while fighting with her.
The neighbour bangs on the door ,the music being too loud, then the boyfriend comes.
This is when we realize the woman set this poor guy up, as she seems to get off on making her boyfriend jealous, bringing men home. She laughs as her man is out of his mind that she had s3x with this guy.
The boyfriend tries to k!ll Dani by choking him, so in self defense, he grabs the first thing near him and stabs him with, a few times.
The girlfriend out of her mind - this was a serious disturbed individual, since she was doing such things-, breaks the window and throws herself, landing on top of a car.
Scared, Dani tries to get rid of the evidence and leave the apartment unseen.
Unluckily for him, once he gets home he remembers she took a picture of the two of them at the shop and put it on her wall. So, from a one time offender, things escalate.
The acting was great, especially from Mario Casas who won Best Actor at the Goya Awards for this role. He really managed to grasp the authenticity of a person used to please people even against his will, the mannerisms and repetitive stress disorders that come with the feeling of being trapped and scared out of your mind. The actor is a chameleon, as I've seen him in quite a few movies and each time not only he looks completely different, but it seems he grows older or younger with the role, although in real life he's got the opposite age.
The movie has what we call in literature, equilibrium and symmetry, as it starts with scenes shot from behind, as we only get to see the back of his head, and ends in the same way.
Viewer discretion is advised as the movie has explicit content.
