Dementia 13 or 'The Haunted and the Hunted' as it's known in the UK, is a black and white horror, colorized on YouTube, co-written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

 

A couple have a night boat ride,while fighting. The husband has a heart attack,and the wife decides to drop his body in the pond,and make it look like he left to New York unexpectedly,so she could get his inheritance.

She tries to get under his mother's skin,who never liked her much, and who is known for being a bit off,as she wants to re-enact her daughter's funeral to the dot, as she died at 13,and she thinks the little girl haunts the place.

 

After the two remaining brothers re-enact the funeral with their mother, the mother falls ill,and the widow lies to her she speaks with the little girl's ghost,receiving signs from her, to make her dependent on her.

Luckily for the mother, the widow is k!lled by someone with an axe,just as she was planting the little girl's toys in the pond.

 

The fiance of one of the brothers arrives in the UK,as they are to be married at the castle. She looks a lot like the k!lled widow,the same hair color and haircut. Also,these two women look like the little girl.

 

As they make preparations, the mother is looking for the k!lled widow,as she relies on her telling her stories about her dead daughter, and the killer makes another victim.

 

I personally didn't like the movie,thank God it was short!It did feel longer,to be honest!

At the beginning of the movie I didn't understand the dialogue, as it has something else over it, I think they might be listening to music.

At the scene in which the first victim is k!lled,the scheming widow,you can tell he doesn't hit her. I can't even tell where he's supposed to hit her, because her head and shoulders look fine,after!

 

The k!ller is not hard to spot, I personally figured it out from the first reminiscing scene.

 

The acting was Ok.

 

I didn't care for the music,but I don't remember it bothering me the way the music of old movies does.

 

The 13 in the title might be the age of the little girl,or the age the k!ller committed his first crime.
