G.I. Joe : Snake Eyes Origins
Year of release : 2021
Run time : 2h1min
Genre : Action
After his father was killed, the lead takes the name Snake Eyes ( which was the dice move the k!ller used on his father ) and tries to find the k!ller.
He ends up working for a Japanese gang and he saves one of them as the leader tries to k!ll him.
Upon rescuing him, he finds out the one who was about to be k!lled is the heir to an ancient Japanese clan, who teach him the Ninja ways. The clan's security chief doesn't trust him, and is quite right to do so.
Turns out the lead is still working for the gang who promised to give him his father's k!ller,if he brings him the sun stone the clan keeps hidden and safe.
I didn't like the movie. The movie felt like an excuse to fight. It's packed with fight scenes. I usually love fight scenes but these bored me, it felt like a B movie.
The first scene I did love was the one with Scarlett beating up those men,and then her and Baroness shooting the men with swords, that was funny, and the old woman k!lling everyone with her hand fan!epic!
There was nothing to like about the lead, as he was a double agent, a traitor, the clan trusted him and he betrayed them, and for what? Who in their right mind, even with vengeance in mind, think it's Ok to give a gang lord the stone which gives him the power to obliterate anyone in sight?
I didn't like the lead,he was saying one thing and then do the opposite. He swore an oath to be a brother to the man he rescued and who trusted him, to right away betray him, revealing the only reason he cut himself was for the other to cut himself so he would have his DNA to be able to open the safe the stone was in! Everything he did was shady! He couldn't be trusted by anyone! There was nothing about him to like ,he kept on betraying the ones who put their trust in him!
The movie is streaming on Epix, Epix Amazon Channel, Epix Roku Premium Channel, Apple iTunes, DIRECTV, Spectrum on Demand; and is for rent or buy on the other usual streaming platforms ,plus Alamo on Demand.
Rating : Could have been a contender ! leaning more towards a The Horror,The HORROR!
