The movie tells the story of 3 people affected by death in different ways.

George can talk to the dead ( after a near death experience when he was a kid ), but he doesn't want to, he just wants to live a normal life, although people who find his secret want him to do a reading. He meets a woman who seems to like him, and after she finds out about his gift which he considers a curse, and asks him to do a reading, she vanishes,as she can't deal with it (thing I found stupid).

 

A french tv journalist who survives a near death experience during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, who writes a book about her experience,which gives the name of the movie.

The scenes with her are all in French.

And a boy from the Uk ,who's mother is a drunk, and who's twin brother dies after running from his bullies in front of a car. After his twin's death his mother decides to become a better mother and goes to rehab, forcing him to be adopted by a family who always adopt kids his age.

He becomes interested in the afterlife, wanting to know if his brother is still with him, wanting to talk to him. He looks up people who say they have the sight, but they all end up being scammers.

The first time I watched this movie I hated it, now it was fine. The most interesting part of the movie was the beginning,with the tsunami. I liked the beginning of the movie and the ending, which actually made me cry.

The visual effects were so and so. They almost looked painted.

The actors were good, Bryce Dallas Howard cries on command.

The soundtrack was written by Clint Eastwood himself!

The movie is labeled an action mystery by google, but I assure it's not, it's a drama!
