Dusty applies one day for a job at Don Champagne’s “Champagne, Furniture and Rugs” store. Although he doesn’t know if to hire her, his employee and friend, Les, tells him to do so, so he’d have something to look at.
Don is married to a control freak wife, who has a book of goals and a schedule (they can only have s3x on the nights she scheduled it, which apparently is 6 times a year), and has 2 kids. He has a permanent look of scare and smile on his face, whenever he talks to his wife, Mona.
Dusty starts hitting on Don, and because he’s not getting any at home, he starts an affair with her. Due to this, he starts working out.
After a while, Dusty tells him she’s pregnant, as she didn’t use anything, and he offers to pay her for the abortion. The sum she wants keeps on growing, and Les tells him he needs to tell Mona.
Dusty seems to be running a scam on men with 2 more accomplices, and she seems to be scared of the one in charge, who could also be her boyfriend.
Don tells Mona, and she tells him to k1ll Dusty. After he does what she tells him, she wants him to cut the body into pieces, and because he can’t do it, she does it.
Dusty’s accomplices are looking for her, and so do the police, and Mona decides to frame them for Dusty’s murder.
The movie was Ok, I particularly liked Katherine Heigl, her character was crazy, and took no bs from anyone. Everyone was scared of her, starting with her husband and ending with the neighbours. Once she starts c@tting up Dusty, she gets a taste for it, and she starts dropping bodies left and right- Dusty’s accomplices, off course, but after Don asks her if she’s the way she is due to her parents, she tells him she’ll k1ll him if he ever talks to her like that again, and he starts growing a pair, for the first time.
Don is a wuss, doing everything his wife tells him, which is actually a good thing because he’s too weak.
Les is giving Don the worst advice, starting with hiring Dusty to telling Don to give Dusty money before Dusty asked for any! At first I thought he was in on it.
Dusty is in it only for the money, and when she’s blackmailing him to give her more money (because her accomplices make her), the last time ,she actually does it to get away from her accomplices.
The movie is colorful, on these bright colors, mostly on turquoise, blue and green. I liked Mona’s perfect house, style, and Dusty’s style (which apparently was created by her accomplice).
The acting was good. Patrick Wilson was funny due to the permanent look of shock/ horror and smile he had on his face.
The soundtrack for the movie, I didn’t like, but the songs chosen for it were Ok.
The movie has critic ratings under 22% from Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, against a 4.8 metascore and 28 popcorn meter. IMDB graded it a 5.5.
