The movie is based on the attempted murder that happened in 1983 when a woman from Pennsylvania tried to k1ll her husband 5 times. The woman was imprisoned for 4 years, and is still married to her husband to this day.

Italian American Joey Boca is in the confessional at church telling the priest he has cheated on his wife,Rosalie, in the past week more times than he can remember.

Joey and his wife have been married for years, have 2 kids, own an Italian restaurant which is going pretty well, and they also own an apartment building where Joey rents only to beautiful women who's plumbing he pretends to fix.

Devo, one of their young employees, and Rosalie's friend, keeps on telling her Joey is cheating, as he listens to the phone conversations he has with women, but Rosalie doesn't believe him, thinking it's just innocent flirting, as she's seen him talking to women in a flirtatious way.

After work at their restaurant,Joey goes out every evening, where he hits on women he cheats on his wife with.

Devo comes to Rosalie's house to spend time with her and her Yugoslavian mother .

One day, returning a book she read to the library, Rosalie hears and then sees Joey with another woman.

After crying , she and her mother start plotting his demise. They even bring Devo in, and each attempt at his life by their assassins fails miserably.

This is one of my favorite movies, it puts me in a good mood whenever I watch it, and makes me laugh until my belly hurts. Joey is really hard to k1ll (he has 9 lives, like a cat!), while the assassins are ridiculous idiots!

The actors were great, entertaining and funny, I laughed with tears the whole time.

The soundtrack was Ok, it has the music of the time, some songs aged well, some didn't.

The movie received mixed reviews, and grossed 16.2 million dollars at the box office.

Cinema Score audiences graded the movie with a C.

Rating : The stuff dreams are made of!
