Audrey Woods is one of the best divorce lawyers in New York. She herself prides in never losing a case. She meets her match in Daniel Rafferty,whom she faces while representing a lying client.

 

Audrey goes to Daniel's office,and not finding him there,snoops around,until she hears him,and dashes off,in a very funny scene.

 

Daniel seems to be quite smitten with her,and even convinces the Manhattan Law Congress Divorce Seminar,to have her as a speaker.

After an embarrassing entrance,which might have been related to Audrey's rushing off from the "crime scene" also known as Daniel's office,Daniel comes in,and gives a speech presenting gadgets,showcasing her fleeing his office,without anyone knowing it's her. This scene always cracks me up,and makes me laugh with tears,holding on to my belly!

 

Going to a rock concert with her mother who refuses to age,or show her age, she meets designer Serena,who's blouse she happens to wear,crying in the street,as her rocker husband is cheating on her.

Audrey thinks and hopes Serena is going to hire her as her divorce lawyer,but she finds out she opted for Daniel.

So,she goes to her rocker husband, Thorne Jamison, and offers to be his lawyer.

 

As the divorce battle starts,Daniel is pursuing Audrey,and on a trip to Ireland,as the divorcing couple can't seem to agree on who bought and renovated the castle they own, and they both want in the divorce, they tie the knot..in an Irish celebration,in which,let's say they drank a bit too much.

 

Audrey is completely against marriage,due to her mother's history,mother who by the way,is obsessed with anything plastic surgery related.

 

This is one of my favorite movies, it is a light romantic comedy,feeling like a movie based on a chick lit. It gives me a really good vibe when I watch it,it's very entertaining and upbeat.

 

The actors were all great,they never miss a beat. Michael Sheen and Parker Posey played the ridiculous crazy in love rock couple, the two leads represent in a mockery divorce battle.

 

The soundtrack was fine.
