Seven years after a monster apocalypse, Joel lives underground with his colony,as insects became the size of planes and eat people and anything else.

He keeps on thinking of the girl he used to date,Aimee,when all hell broke lose,and upon reconnecting with her on the radio,he decides to go see her.

 

Joel is afraid of these creatures,he always freezes when seeing one,so his colony,who actually care for him,don't want to let him go. Joel makes his case,saying that he feels useless due to the fact he never does anything.

 

In this journey,Joel makes a few friends,the best of them being this cute dog who misses his owner and keeps her dress with him.

He also learns how to break his fear and become a true monster fighter.

 

The movie was really good,the dog was adorable.The movie was also funny,a really great watch,and entertaining . 

 

The visual effects were good.

 

The acting was top notch.Dylan O'Brien was amazing,he had these scenes in which he had to freeze and shake,and he did it,his tears were streaming down his face seeing the creatures,he was impressive.

 

The soundtrack was fine.
