The movie is based on the 2004 novel of the same name by Joseph Finder.

Adam is a brilliant inventor who works for a big corporation run by Wyatt. After presenting a project which to me sounded good,but Wyatt was unimpressed, he fires him.

The same night, he and his friends and co-workers,who were also fired, go to a club and he uses the company's credit card to pay for everything they are having.

The next morning, Wyatt's enforcer brings him to Wyatt, who tells him if he's not gonna become a corporate spy for him,he is gonna have him arrested for fraud.

 

Adam is being trained by Judith,a behavioral psychiatrist ,on how to dress, act and talk, to get on Wyatt's former mentor's good side.

Goddard stole quite a few of Wyatt's ideas,with advanced software which can hack into phones,and now wants to buy his company.

Adam finds out the woman he had a one night stand with,who is giving him the cold shoulder, is the

Director of Marketing at Goddard's company,and after being pretty mean to him,she finally warms up to him (when she sees he has money and an apartment) and starts dating him.

An FBI agent tells Adam the 3 previous former employees of Wyatt died after they left his firm and worked for Goddard. Adam doesn't care.

Wyatt and his enforcer start threatening him to get the information they need from Goddard or they will k1ll his father and friends,running his friend over with a car,and he finds out he put him in an apartment which has cameras everywhere,spying on him 24/7,and they installed cameras in his father's house,and not just that, they follow him around.

Adam needs to start making decisions,and it looks he's gonna start making the wrong ones.

The movie was entertaining,I personally didn't get bored, I liked how it was edited,I liked how the visual merged with the audio, I was interested in what was going on,and wanted to see where is this going.

 

The characters are unlikeable, starting with the lead, who does what he does, mostly to the girl he likes (he could have had her not just fired,but imprisoned by taking her prints ,making it look it was her) , the girlfriend,who is a b1tch to him half of the time,and ending with Goddard, Wyatt and his enforcers.

I didn't think Adam deserved a second chance after what he did to her,I wouldn't have taken him back.

Goddard and Wyatt deserved each other,they were the two faces of the same coin .

The actors were good.

The soundtrack was good.

The movie received negative reviews,being considered cliched, and bombed at the box office,earning 17 million dollars against a budget of 35 million, Variety magazine calling it the biggest box office bomb of 2013!

Cinema Score audiences gave the movie a C+ on an A+ to F scale.
