International terr0rist, Charles Rane, is arrested by the FBI at the plastic surgeon's clinic, as he's about to get another plastic surgery, as he keeps on changing his face, so no one would recognize him.

He is told by his lawyer (whom he abuses) that the FBI plan to fly him to Los Angeles (great plan indeed, transport a plane terr0rist by plane!). Rane has a fit when his lawyer tells him they should plead insanity, and tells him to tell his team which flight he'll be on so they'll hijack it.

John Cutter is a former law enforcer who among his many jobs ,used to be even a secret service agent. Haunted by the death of his wife at the hands of a robber, he tries to stay away from such jobs, and trains flight attendants in self defense.

At the end of such a class, when he upsets a flight attendant, he is approached by his old friend, who offers him the vice president job of the new antiterr0rism unit of the Atlantic International Airlines.

Although reluctant,his friend and the company's president, manage to convince him to join them.

He boards the Atlantic flight to L.A. , where, of course, the flight attendant he upset is working. The woman is giving him the cold shoulder.

At the same time, Rane is being boarded by the FBI. Soon after the plane takes off, Rane's team k1lls the FBI agents guarding him, and hijack the plane.

Cutter manages to call his friend to warn him about the situation, from the lavatory, but is soon discovered by the terr0rists. Seeing Rane has no compassion for the passengers, he manages to escape with the flight attendant who dislikes him (for now) to the cargo hold, trying to come up with a plan to stop the terr0rists.

I personally enjoyed the movie, I liked it more than RoboCop. The movie is pretty short, so it doesn't waste any time, it's well paced, there are no unnecessary scenes,it shows as much as it needs,and doesn't waste time, boring the viewers.

Wesley Snipes is passenger 57. He is also well versed in the Martial Arts, so he deals with the terr0rists pretty fast when they don't have someone at gun point. I also liked his jacket.

The visual effects were good.

The actors were fine. Bruce Payne looked like a fallen angel, the whole time he was on the screen I kept on thinking he should have played Lucifer or someone like that in those kind of movies.He definitely has the look!

The soundtrack was awful, it didn't match whatever was on the screen.

The movie was a blockbuster, earning 66.5 million dollars against a budget of 15 million,propelling Wesley Snipes into stardom.

The filming of the movie took only a month and a half, from the 13th of January to the 26th of February 1992! The movie was released in November 1992!

The movie is for rent / sale on the usual streaming platforms, like Amazon Video, AppleTv, Fandango at Home.

Rating : Worth a watch !
