The series are based on the Tess Gerritsen's series of novels of the same name, first aired in July 2010, running for 7 seasons, until September 2016.

The title of the series comes from the leading characters' names, Jane Rizzoli,a Boston police detective, and Maura Isles, the chief medical examiner of the Boston Police Department. The two women are best friends.

Episode 7 - A bad seed grows

A woman walking her dog finds a d3ad girl in a cage.

Jane has couch problems, and Maura is obsessed with buying her a new one.

One of Maura's old friends,a psychiatrist, comes to see her, and casually asks about the d3ad girl. They start thinking maybe he did it, until they find him dead in his office, a teenage boy hiding in his closet. They realize he k1lled him, and he is also the suspect in the case of the d3ad girl.

The boy seems to be a psychopath narcissist, trying to toy with Jane.

Jane's apartment burns down.

This episode was fun to watch.

The acting was good.

Episode 8 - Nice to meet you, dr. Isles

A jeweler collapses when out at a club.

Maura's father keeps on calling her but she refuses to pick up,saying that everything he says is a lie.

Jane lost everything in a fire, and stays at a hotel, while Maura is asking her to move in with her. Jane's mother also stays with Maura, and Jane doesn't want to be in the same space as her, although they get along just fine.

Her mother wants to move in with her son,Jane's brother, who also works with her at the police department, and he doesn't like the idea.

Dr. Maura Isles discovers the jeweler was poisoned with the puffer fish used in sushi,that chefs in Japan have to be licensed to serve.

I found the episode entertaining and funny. I enjoy watching smart movies.

Episode 10 - Sister sister

Maura is looking for nice clothes for Jane to wear, as she has an interview for a new apartment. Jane lives with her brother since her apartment burnt down, and he is a bathroom hog.

A woman who is training her champion rottweiler is jumped by him after she eats what she had prepared for him.

Maura discovers she was poisoned with two kinds of poison, and the suspects range from her two daughters, one being a drug addict she used to fight all the time with, for loving the dog more, and a neighbor who moves out of the neighborhood.

Episode 12 - 5:26

Jane discovers her apartment was burnt down by someone who also hacked her, damaged her credit and closed her accounts.

The new victim, a former drug addict,who ironically died from a drug overdose according to Maura, connects to Jane's case, as she has the same tattoo on her wrist the arsonist has in the video she sent her.

She prints all the threats she received. She can't find a Leanne.

Maura makes the psychological profile of the person who is after Jane, and thinks she needs a bodyguard, as whoever it's after her, is very dangerous.

Maura finds balloons with drugs inside the drug addict's stomach designed to leak in order to k1ll her. One of the balloons had a woman's watch in it, with a date and time. Jane discovers it's her watch.

Maura hires a bodyguard who doesn't let Jane do anything, but stay in the house, as they think they want to k1ll her at 5:26, and cooks for her.

Episode 13 - Hide and seek

Whoever is after Jane kidnaps Maura.

Jane and the team do everything to find her, and her mother keeps on cooking for everyone, not knowing how to help.

The team discover that phone of the psychiatrist who treated Leanne in prison was at the same location they discovered Maura's things, and looking through his office they discover the same balloons they found in Leanne's stomach.

This episode, just like the previous, was more serious than the rest.

When it comes to the series, the acting was fine, the two leads have chemistry as best friends, and so do the other members of the cast. The cast was likeable.

I like Maura's style, house and office.

I didn't like the soundtrack of the series, it sounds generic, like the usual soundtrack of the tv romances.

The show was always ranked in the top 5 cable programs.

It was nominated for a few awards, and won 2.
