A psychologist is asked to go to a space station orbiting planet Solaris,to investigate the death of a doctor, and the cosmonauts losing their minds.

 

The movie is set in two parts ,like the old Hollywood movies with Ouverture and such.

The first part is one hour and 19 minutes,and after,the action takes place in space.

 

The movie felt very long and boring ,as it turns into a drama.

I loved the first part ,anticipating,but the second part wasn't to my expectations.

 

The movie is this long because it has these scenes of the traffic without music. There are certain scenes completely without any sound.

 

The soundtrack was good.

 

The movie goes from color to black and white.

It has good visual effects. If I didn't know it was a 1972 movie I wouldn't have guessed. The only thing that gives it away are the crochet dresses.

The movie looks like a Hollywood movie. I think it was filmed in Japan or some Asian country,due to this long traffic scene.

 

The cinematography is great. It doesn't look like a Russian movie but a Hollywood one.

 

The actors were great.
