Cassandra ( some say that is a predestined name) finds herself, after a car crash, in a sort of nightmare,in which the man she loves died,and she has to live with the guilt of killing him. Her ex boyfriend who is now dating her friend still loves her,and is trying to win her back,as her friend Annabel seems to be going off the rails.

 

Cassie keeps on having these daymares while she's awake and she finds comfort in talking to the college priest.

 

What seem to be nightmares are revealed as being reality. While the world she lives in,in which she's being followed by these two men they were in the accident with ( the opening scene is with these two doing a satanic sacrifice,killing a girl on campus ) being the dream world, or a state in between life and death,as it's revealed her friends who are alive in this world are dead in reality,and the one she thinks dead is the only one who survived.

 

When watching one must pay attention to what's happening,to the lines the actors deliver,especially Annabel and Matt ,as the truth is in them.

The men who follow her are the ones who caused the accident.

 

This is one of my favorite movies,I watched it first about 20 years ago,and watched many times since,and I must say,although I find certain scenes inappropriate,with no reason to be in the movie,I still like the movie as a whole.

 

The acting is good,so are the visual effects,the soundtrack is a good one,especially for that period when soundtracks weren't what they are today.
