The movie is based on Neil Gaiman's book of the same name, published in 1999.

Tristan is in love with Victoria, but she doesn't really give him the time of day,as she just uses him when she needs him. The girl has another love interest, impersonated by Superman himself,Henry Cavill with a blond hairdo, who, she tells Tristan,is on his way to Ipswich to buy her an engagement ring.

Upon hearing the news,Tristan tells the girl who doesn't care about him,all the things he'd do for her hand in marriage. At this very time,a falling star graces the sky and Tristan promises to bring her the star if she agrees to marry him.

The star fell beyond the Wall which separates our world from the magic world. His father tells him,his mother, whom Tristan never knew, is from the other side of the Wall, a place called Stormhold, and gives him the items she sent him when Tristan was born. Including a letter addressed to Tristan, which tells him the fastest way to travel is by candlelight.

Tristan lights up the candle and travels at the speed of light to where the star fell.

Here,he discovers the fallen star is a woman, who shines when happy. He still tries to bring her to Victoria.

At the same time, the three supreme witches see the fallen star and one of them goes looking for it,as the star is what keeps them young, the last one kept them young for 200 years!

The star is also sought by the last remaining princes of the magic land, who's father, the king,on his death bed, threw into the universe his magic ruby,so one of his sons would find it to become king.

This king of Stormhold is pretty insane as he brags about k!lling his 12 brothers to take the throne, and is pushing his sons to k!ll each other for it. He actually laughs when one of his sons is k!lled by another! ( WTF) Father of the year,I tell you!

Tristan and the fallen star embark on a journey of self discovery, and Tristan realizes who his real love is.

The acting was good,so was the soundtrack, the visual effects great ( I was really impressed by them).

The movie is streaming on Netflix, Now Tv Cinema, Paramount+ Amazon Channel, Sky Go, Virgin Tv Go, and is for rent or buy on Amazon Video, Chili, Google Play Movies, Microsoft Store, Rakuten Tv, Sky Store,YouTube.
