The movie is apparently based on E.A.Poe’s short tale “A tell-tale heart”.

A man who had heart problems receives the heart of a man who died in a house invasion.

He starts having these visions about these men who killed him,and he tracks them down one by one,and unwillingly,kills them.

His daughter has a very rare degenerative disease, fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, which turns tendons,ligaments and muscles into bone,making them immobile.

The actor Josh Lucas is amazing,he has these sudden twitches to express the heart desires which are right on the money.
