The movie is based on the comic book series "The Empty Man" created by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Vanesa R. Del Rey, published in 2014.

An ex cop starts investigating a teenage girl's disappearance after five other kids went missing and were found dead. His research leads him to a cult which teaches about how nothing is real,how they can influence people and events with their thoughts,and the end of times .

The movie was beautifully shot, I loved every moment of it, and the ending has a twist and is worth every minute!

The twist at the end also tells us what is an empty man.

The movie has a certain imaginary to it, things put in it which bleed through scenes, like the way the people hold their hands, just like the skeleton in the cave, the painting on the wall painted by a believer resembling the man in the hospital in one of the last scenes.

There's this beautiful scene with a map which turns into a bird's eye view of a forest with its trees and the road the car is driven on.

The soundtrack was great, it had this eerie,haunting music.
