The movie is a sequel to Thor, and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Eons ago, Odin's father, Bor, fought against the dark elves who wanted to sink the universe into darkness,by unleashing a weapon named Aether on the Nine Realms. Bor and his army k1lled all the dark elves, and hid the weapon in a hidden world. The leader of the elves escaped with his legion,by going into space in suspended animation.

In present day Asgard, Odin imprisons Loki for his crimes against the earth. He tells him his mother was the only reason he didn't get the death sentence.

At the same time, Thor and his friends, fight to bring peace and stability to the Nine Realms.

They find out the Convergence , a rare alignment of the Nine Realms, is about to happen,portals connecting the worlds, opening at random.

In London, Jane and her friend and colleague (I honestly hate these 2 women) travel to an abandoned factory where a portal appeared. Jane enters a portal to the hidden world, and the Aether attaches itself to her.

Thor finds her and takes her to Asgard, where Odin tells them about the power of the Aether which can destroy the world. Odin doesn't care much for Jane.

Erik is crazy now and mostly naked, which I think was supposed to be funny, but I didn't find it as such.

The dark elves attack Asgard looking for Jane, and k1ll Thor's mother.

I don't know what is it with these Thor / Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man ) movies, they bore me. In the second part of the movie I just started checking my phone.

Thor doesn't want to rule, and just wants to be with Jane. He became worthy of his father's throne though.

Loki is ugly and unredeemable, they gave him this ugly long,messy wig (which he has through the whole franchise and tv series), which looks like he didn't bathe in weeks. He looks like an ugly vampire! I was looking at the nice hairstyle the dark elves had, why couldn't they do this for Loki too? Or just let him keep the haircut he had in Thor, he looked good in that one!The haircut was perfect!

The actors were good, Anthony Hopkins was the best.

The visual effects were good, I liked the part with falling from one world into the other, which apparently the creators like too, as they keep on using it in the franchise (the last time they used it in 'Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness' ).

I don't remember the soundtrack. If it didn't bother me it means it was fine.
