The movie is based on the 1981 French psychological drama "Garde a vue", and the book 'Brainwash' by John Wainwright.

The movie starts right off the bat with the police officer asking Henry Hearst,a rich tax attorney,to come to the police station for ten minutes,on the very same night he has a found raiser. The ten minutes were never supposed to be 10 minutes as the police question him, thinking he committed the murder of the little girl he found dead and another one.

As they question him a story of a man who is denied by his young gorgeous wife unravels.

The wife is questioned too,and is sad to say she is jealous of her sister’s teenage daughter. It reveals the sad problems of a couple who lives in separate bedrooms because the wife thinks the attention her husband shows to her sister’s kids is something more.

From his side of the story he seems he loves her and wants her,but she thinks there’s something between him and the girl. That's so effed up.

They both tell the same stories and being told from different angles we see different things and how everything is subjective, what we think we see or hear.

This movie is the perfect example of the expression ‘no good deed goes unpunished’ as him discovering the dead girl and calling the police, made them believe he was the killer because he married a woman half his age,a woman he knew since she was 11.

The police right off the bat, think him guilty, and treat him as such.SPOILERS

There’s this scene in which Thomas Jane’s character throws him down the staircase because Henry had enough of their drilling, tearing his suit.

They drill him all night, the wife gives them permission to search the house, they find pictures of the dead girls, but not dead, and they think they found their killer as he liked to photograph everything .

I loved how they walked with him through the memories. I loved how they merged the present with the memories.

I loved the atmosphere created,of a series of murders of little girls having as the backdrop a carnival. The music was great.

The acting, especially from Gene Hackman was amazing.

The movie is streaming on The Roku Channel, and is for rent or sale on Amazon, Apple, DirecTv, Google Play, Microsoft Store, Vudu, YouTube.
