Bryan is a pet photographer who has an assistant who forgot to keep the cat owners away from the dog owners. Due to this, the cat of a lady who's husband is a mob lord, gets badly injured by a dog.
The man has his men bring Bryan to him, and tells him he needs to marry his daughter Masha for a US Visa, or else.
Bryan doesn't want to, but what choice does he have? He tells this to his mother, thinking she'll take his side, or give him any advice, but she is happy he gets married to anyone!
Bryan braces himself up, and hopes for the worst when he waits to first meet her. To his surprise, the woman is beautiful, and speaks perfect English. So,he doesn't have to pretend he's in love with her, because he is!
He has to stay away from her though, as her father told him, after a year they'll divorce, and she'll have to marry his second in command.
The father pays for a honeymoon in Tahiti, as he knows the authorities are onto them, and he wants everything to look real.
In Tahiti, Masha is kidnapped, and Bryan looks for her with the help of a few people he met on the island.
Bryan's assistant, who believes herself his girlfriend, keeps on crashing his wedding, his honeymoon, making things hard for him.
Not just that, but Masha's father thinks he's the one who kidnapped her asking for ransom!
Although, at first, due to the music and the ridiculous pet photographing scenes, I thought it was going to be a ridiculous, bad movie, I actually enjoyed the movie. It had action and romance, and except for the beginning with Bryan at work, and the music which didn't match what was on screen, it wasn't so bad after all!
The exotic place (Hawaii, apparently, because Tahiti is in French Polynesia) where they filmed was beautiful!
Apparently, after a very limited US release,in one theater in Hawaii (!),due to not having major stars attached to it, the movie was released in Russia, Romania, Hungary and Latin America.
The movie was made by a Hawaii based production company, with 6 million dollars.
The actors were good, Kathy Bates was the best.
The soundtrack was bad, and didn't match anything on screen.
Rating : Worth a watch!
