Holly is representing the kids of a woman who wants to get them out of the system's care and back into her custody before Christmas so they could spend it together. But her lawyer doesn't show up.
Ryan Hughes is caught up at work and misses the court date. But he makes up for it,pursuing the judge to allow the mother have her kids back, considering it's the day before Christmas.
Taking the kids back to their mother,to surprise her,he is offering to take her job as a volunteer at a Christmas Farm Tree,so she could spend more time with them.
He there sees Holly whom he falls in love with,at first sight. He wants to ask her out,but hears her dictate a nasty letter to one of her colleagues for him. So,when Santa asks him to be her Christmas gift,he lies to her about his name.
Santa is trying to keep the promise he made her 20 years back,of getting her a boyfriend for Christmas.
This could be an easier task than ever, since her sister and her ex boyfriend, whom she didn't see in 2 years, are plotting to get her and the ex back together.
I liked the movie,it was fun to watch,I loved the characters, the actors were delightful. Until this movie I think I saw Patrick Muldoon only as the villain and it was nice to see him as the good guy.
A few misses though - I love how the trees have green leaves for Christmas although there are snow patches on the ground! Details!
She left the Christmas lights on(in the tree and around her house) all day long while she was having Christmas with her family.
It's so cold they all are in their Spring / Autumn jackets without a scarf,or simply sweaters. At the end she actually walks outside in a Summer dress with sandals on!
Rating : Worth a watch!
