Two angels are given an assignment, and if they fail,as their previous matches ended in divorce, they cannot return to heaven.

Robert is fired from his job as a janitor and replaced with a robot. He decides to threaten the boss,as his girlfriend left him too,for the aerobics instructor, and ends up kidnapping his daughter.

Robert is not doing so well as a kidnapper,as he's never done this before, so the kidnapee,Celine, ends up telling him what to do, doing most of the job, really ( the part where he doesn’t know how to act when calling the father of the victim is hilarious,as Celine tells him what to say and how to act, in the end taking charge, pretending to be scared and crying on the phone,as Robert is waiting outside the phone boot,by the car).

The angels are funny too,as they try to make them fall in love putting them in jeopardy, posing as bounty hunters,at the same time trying to protect them (or Robert, actually) from the real baddies.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up,it’s so entertaining and funny!

Ironically, the movie was a flop,as it grossed a little over 14 million over a budget of 12 million dollars.

In spite of it's failure at the box office, the movie has a comic-strip series, within the British comic '2000 AD', and screenwriter John Hodge wrote a novelisation of it .

The acting was good, the actors were a joy to watch.

Timothy Olyphant and Christopher Gorham have small roles, for those interested.

The soundtrack is one of the best, as the music made for the movie is good, and so are the artists' songs chosen for the movie.

The visual effects were good.I also loved the animated end credits.
