A perfect murder

The movie is a loose remake of Alfred Hitchcock's movie "Dial M for murder", and is also,loosely based, on the play of the same name by Frederick Knott.

Emily is married to Wall Street financier Steven Taylor (like the rock singer from Aerosmith),who is older than her, and has an affair with a man her age, David, who is an artist.

Emily even considers leaving Steven for David, as as she tells her friend, Steven doesn't care about her interests (like all cheaters like to tell themselves).

Unluckily for Emily, Steven knows about the affair, and knows everything about "David's" past , as he is an ex convict who cons rich women, his real name being Winston. He asks "David" to k1ll Emily, promising to give him 100.000 dollars in advance, and 400.000 dollars more after the murd3r.

"David" loves Emily so much, that he agrees.

Steven tells David how to do it (like a robbery gone bad), taking him to their home, showing him where everything is, and even leaves the key outside for him. Emily's key.

Steven planned everything so he wouldn't be a suspect, as he's going to his weekly card game. He even calls her, as a cue for the criminal, and alibi.

Emily manages to stab the masked man with the meat thermometer.

Steven gets home, and finds his wife alive and "well", so he rushes to the murd3r scene to get rid of the evidence.

Taking off the man's mask, Steven realizes it's not David.

By all accounts it looks like a man scorned who wants vengeance on his cheating wife, a sort of "poetic justice" if you will, to have the lovers k1lling each other. But what if it's more to it? What if Steven has other reasons for wanting his wife d3ad?

I personally enjoyed the movie, it's full of twists and turns, and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Emily speaks a few languages being an interpreter, and we hear her speaking in a few languages with people.

The acting was good, but the characters were unlikeable, starting with the cheating wife, the cheated husband who wants her d3ad, and David, who claims to love Emily, but is willing to have her k1ll3d for money.

The soundtrack was good.

The movie had a budget of 60 million dollars and grossed 128 million worldwide.

The movie was named after the title given to the Alfred Hitchcock's original movie in Spanish and Italian.

The movie had an alternate ending without the fight at the end between the married couple,which can be found on original Blu-Ray releases .
