After waking up from a 17 months coma, a police officer is asked to get back to work,a few years later. Now,the police officers are all paired not with human partners but with androids. He doesn’t like the androids as they calculate the probability of people dying, and lets them die.
On his way from a crime scene,as his android is talking about how he has to report him for being seen in the bad part of the town, he throws it out of the car while the car is driving.
He is paired with a so called obsolete version of androids and taken off the market, as they were believed to have malfunctioned because they were designed to be as much human as possible,so they came with mood swings and feelings.
I don’t quite like the soundtrack, especially in the first episodes as I don’t think it matches.
Most of the episodes are about this terrorist organisation.
So far the best episode was the 7th about a man who kills the people who he believes wronged him,by attaching a bomb around their neck,and blows them up after asking them to do things for him,Saw style.
At the end of the first episode there’s a second shot of actress Gina Carano but still not addressed,7 episodes later. It’s finally addressed in the 9th episode. She plays a homicidal robot. I loved the fight scene between her and Dorian.
The episodes delve into the dangers of technology,with what happens if one hacks into smart houses to kill people;
with genetically modified humans to be beautiful and smart,don’t have any diseases and die of old age; sex bots with human skin cultivated from human DNA of living people;
face plastic surgery with nanobots done within a few minutes as its injected in the skin,
androids built to perform specific tasks like help humans or destroy them;
and new stronger drugs which enhance the level of perception and help better people like in Limitless,obviously with a downside,they all have a downside.
The acting is good,the dynamic between the two leads is great,they are funny,natural and fluid. I liked it,the movie had action and had funny moments,I literally laughed some times with tears.
The two police officer and android bond and become a real team,and its nice to see how Dorian grows on Kennex.
