After a global catastrophe which wipes out all electronics and electricity,people are unable to sleep. They get restless and crazy and start turning on each other. A few people are able to sleep and the ones who can't sleep, either want to sacrifice them or use them as lab rats.

The movie didn't make sense,as in, all this happens due to some solar flare which takes out all the electricity,only old cars work,and people are unable to sleep. Weirdly,they can't die anymore,even the coma patients are awake,but they can still die if shot! Make it make sense!

The movie didn't quite grab me,I don't know why. I think I expected more,as in,more character development. We don't know much about any of the characters, they are just there. There are some characters which are introduced and are there for a short while. Also,the movie started out well,but like most of the Hollywood movies lately,it didn't deliver.

The actors were good. Some action car scenes ,from the beginning of the movie and the other towards the end were really good. The way they were shot,it felt like I was in the car with them,experiencing their drama.

Awake is a Netflix production and can be found exclusively on the platform.

Rating : Could have been a contender !
