Bad Boys for life

Year of release : 2020

Run time : 2h4min

Genre : Action

Cast : Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Jacob Scipio, Michael Bay

The movie is the 3d installment of the Bad Boys franchise, started in 1995,and follows the same path as the old ones, the same exact script.

It involves a witch who worships the Santa Muerte, the holy death, who escapes from jail, and who, with the help of her son,Armando, starts a vengeance plot,in which her son k!lls the people who had to do with her husband's death and her incarceration.

Mike gets shot but he recovers, Marcus retires, but comes back to help Mike,as he wants to catch these guys. They join forces with the new blood, the Miami special department team,AMMO .

Turns out the witch was Mike's first flame and the only woman he ever loved, who created Mike as we know it. SPOILER - she also gave him a son, guess who.

The movie to me,didn't feel like it was flowing. The acting to me,at times felt flat, and from the villains somewhat uncomfortable, due to that ,it gave me the B movie vibe. The only one who seemed to have been giving 100 % was Martin Lawrence.

The movie was funny, mostly due to Martin Lawrence.

The movie has two jokes, one at the beginning, about rich white people, said by the 1% richest people in the world, which I found disgusting.

I didn't like the music choices, the only song I liked was La Bruja, also, the soundtrack sounded familiar, and felt like it belonged to a different movie(like, seriously,no joke).

The colors of the movie are not the ones we were used to,the beautiful vivid ones, but these ugly ones, dark green to khaki,as if they belong to the Matrix coloring themes.

Also,it has some pretty violent scenes, which I didn't expect from a Bad Boys movie, and which made me think of a line from, I think , Blue Streak with Martin Lawrence, delivered by Dave Chappelle ," I sure don't know you,you didn't use to be so violent!"

Rating : Could have been a contender towards Worth a watch !
