Beverly Hills cop 3
Year of release : 1994
Run time : 1h44min
Genre : Comedy / Action
Cast : Eddie Murphy, Hector Elizondo
The movie is the 3nd installment of the 4 movie series, the last one being released this month on Netflix.
Detroit detective Axel Foley is trying to arrest a whole car theft ring at a chop shop, but cancels the SWAT backup.
Unluckily for him and his colleagues, 4 men arrive to pick up a stolen truck with a cargo belonging to the US government, who k!ll the workers and start shooting at them,k!lling his boss in the process.
Wanting to pursue the criminals, Axel is stopped by a Secret Service agent who tells him they must remain at large, as they are trying to catch an even bigger fish.
After finding out the k!llers might work for the themed park Wonder World in Beverly Hills, Axel returns to the city, reconnecting with Rosewood, trying to solve the case.
The movie was unique,as in, most of the action takes place in this themed park, and the rides and themes are pretty cool. Axel even saves 2 kids after the ride they were all on was damaged by the men following him (I didn't understand how could he climb on those things, or why would the compartment of the swing ride would detach, but whatever ).
Serge makes an appearance, and he's still funny.
The only times I found the movie funny was when Serge made an appearance, and when Axel's trying to use the big machine gun but it keeps on playing music!
I still don't know why it's called Beverly Hills cop, as he's not a Beverly Hills cop, he just solves cases there now, since this is a sequel.
The acting was so and so,at times good, others, bad, like in the beginning of the movie. I thought the guy who played Rosewood wasn't at the top of his game, and even Eddie Murphy seemed off a few times.
George Lucas makes a cameo appearance.
The soundtrack was so and so, as most times in action scenes I feel it doesn't match, it's either too upbeat for what's on the screen, or they play some song which has nothing to do with the car chase.
The movie is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, FuboTv, Paramount Plus, Paramount on Amazon Prime,on AppleTv,and on The Roku Channel; Showtime on AppleTv,Apple Tv, Apple Tv Plus, Fandango at Home.
Rating : 'Could have been' to 'Worth a watch' !
