The post apocalyptic horror movie is a spin off of the 2018 Sandra Bullock movie of the same name, which was based on the 2014 novel by Josh Malerman.

The movie opens with Sebastian, who offers his daughter a pair of roller skates. After she rolls for a bit they hear something ,and run into hiding. Sebastian is caught and beaten by blind people who steal his food.

As he goes outside with his daughter, they meet a few people and convince them to take him in by telling them he knows where to find a generator. He even says to his daughter he has to make sure they’re good people.

Once inside, after being looked at by their doctor, he steals their keys and drives the bus with them inside (while they sleep), outside, crashing the bus, so the creatures will k1ll them.

As they die, his daughter appears next to him, and they see their souls ascending.

Sebastian thinks doing the creatures’ bidding he’s doing God’s work, as it’s gonna end faster and he gets to see his wife. It’s obvious he’s one of the crazy people who’ve seen the creatures and now hunt people.He’s also being manipulated by what he thinks to be his daughter.

We get to see how it all started, and what happened to him.

Sebastian had a family, a wife who was h1t by a car in the mayhem, and his daughter got sick a few months after it all started.

The priest who wanted to live to see the end times ends up being one of the crazy people hunting people to give to the creatures, drawing an eye on their forehead. He thinks he looks at God when he sees the creatures, but God wouldn’t make you k1ll yourself, in the first place, and then, in atrocious ways.

Sebastian finds new people to manipulate into k1lling them, but when he does the creature’s bidding, he doesn’t see the ascension anymore, nor anyone else besides his daughter in front of them, and he starts to understand he’s been doing the opposite of what he thinks he’s been doing.

I personally enjoyed the movie, but I found it very predictable, and the fact I couldn’t see the creatures started to bother me after a while.

Pay attention to how Sebastian’s daughter acts from the getgo, and you’ll figure out what’s happening. He is an unreliable narrator.

The creatures seem to be demonic, as as people see them, their eyes turn, which to me means they get possessed and the creatures k1ll them while possessing them. The ones who can’t be possessed are driven insane or gaslighted by these entities pretending to be their loved ones, into doing their bidding.

I actually wanted them to show us the creatures, but they never do. I think they are energy, and appear to people as whoever they love.

SPOILERS I think the creatures appear to Sebastian as the seraphim he loved (there’s this medallion he gave his daughter of a seraphim) and then as his daughter, to make him bring people to them. END OF SPOILERS

I watched a version dubbed in English and it was fine.

The acting was good.

The visual effects were good.

The soundtrack was good.
