Quincy is left by his girlfriend for his friend, Tony, just as he wants to propose to her. Heartbroken,he starts writing a letter to her, a letter which turns into a book. A book which becomes a bestseller due to the fact it addresses how relationships are like jobs and how when someone breaks up with someone else is like being fired.

He and his cousin test his theory of breaking up with someone at their own place so they won't follow you. It works, so his cousin asks him to break up with the woman he's been dating for three months for him, as he thinks she wants to break up with him, and he doesn't want to be the dumped one.

The woman looks different than what his cousin tells him she looks like. He thinks she is a no show, when in fact she's the one he's been talking to the whole night, falling for her.

There's also Quincy's cousin's boss who is the comic relief, who can't seem to be able to fire people or even break up with his girlfriend.

This is one of my favorite movies, always makes me laugh. The actors are great, I love each and every one of them. It's a funny, feel good movie about relationships.
