Sam organizes a bachelorette party in Paris on short notice, for her childhood best friend, Betsy. See, Sam is a secret agent, who usually misses important family events, and this time she tried not to, so she brought her friend's party to where she had to work.

Unluckily for her, her team is telling her the mission set for the day after, is on that very night.

Sam doesn't want to go, but her team handler, Nadine, tells her they arranged a distraction.

While she gets the bioweapon, her friends notice her missing from the party, and when she comes back, an angry Betsy names her fiance's sister as her maid of honor.

Sam doesn't like to work in a team, as she thinks she works best alone, and really wants a solo mission.

Nadine tells her she found her a solo mission, her best friend's wedding.

Sam attends the wedding on Betsy's fiance's private island, in Savannah, Georgia. Betsy and the other brides' maids don't look happy to see her, and they ignore her most of the time.

Sam also thinks maybe Betsy doesn't want to marry her fiance,Ryan, and Betsy pushes her away.

Right when the wedding ceremony starts, they are taken hostage by a group of mercenaries, who want access to the Caldwell family's (Ryan's family who's apparently very rich,they have a lot of gold, a lot!) vault, which keys are the family's wedding rings,wedding dates and the men's eyes. They are helped by Ryan's best man, Chris, that Sam likes.

Sam, who was pushed away from the ceremony, starts taking the mercenaries out , one by one, trying to save the hostages.

Once she finds out Sam is a bad ass who takes the mercenaries down, one by one, Betsy doesn't want to leave her side, and wants to join in on the fights.

I personally enjoyed the movie, it is action packed and funny. Rebel Wilson looked great and it looked like she did her own action scenes, as in kicked ass, and had fun doing it.

Sam seemed to have been a loner due to her mother having many husbands, which made her lose her faith in love and people.

While Betsy and her maids of honor were hurt that Sam didn't respect or appreciate their bond enough to show up for her so called best friend's wedding or anything related to it, especially since she lied to them she was a "cat show entrepreneur".

Chris wanted vengeance for what he thought Ryan's family did to his own family.

 

The place where they shot the wedding venue was beautiful.

I didn't like the women's dresses, as in, wedding dress and bride's maids' dresses

The movie reminded me of JLo's movie, "Shotgun wedding".

The actors were good, my favorite was Stephen Dorff.

The soundtrack was good, but I didn't like the songs chosen, as I found them very commercial and boring.

The movie received negative reviews from critics, but Cinema Score audiences gave the movie a B-, on an A+ to F scale.

Viewer discretion is advised, as the movie has vulgar jokes.

The movie is out in cinemas worldwide.
