The Titans powerful rule was ended by their sons, Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, when Hades, convinced by Zeus created the Kraken from his own flesh. Still, Hades was tricked and left to rule the Underworld, in darkness and misery.
Zeus created mankind, and mankind's prayers fed the gods' immortality. But, in the end humanity rose up against the gods.
Perseus was found as a baby, in a coffin in the water, by a fisherman. The fisherman and his wife raised him as their own.
Now, an adult, Perseus is helping his father , fishing, but the nets are empty.
One day,as they're sailing, they see soldiers taking down the statue of Zeus. Right away, winged creatures from the underworld come and k!ll them. Turns out it was Hades and as he plunges back into the water, destroys Perseus and his family's ship,k!lling them.
A soldiers' ship find Perseus shipwreck and take him with them,for the king to do what he want with him. Eye roll. Didn't know he wasn't a free man!
At the court, we find out the king is leading a war against the gods by destroying their temples and statues. All this while the king is in his palace, partying!
The king decrees the era of man has began while his wife says her daughter's face is more divine and more beautiful than any woman of Greece and Aphrodite herself ( again, to me the actress is plain!),and that they are the gods now.
Well, this doesn't sit well with Hades who k!lls her and decrees that in 10 days,on the eclipse, he will unleash the kraken destroying Argos,unless they sacrifice the princess.
The gods and humans realize Perseus is a demigod, so the humans beat him up and imprison him.
The king asks him to help them, and after Io visits him in jail ( when she tells him his mother's husband was a king who fought a war against the gods, and as punishment, Zeus disguised himself as the king and had s3x with the queen), Perseus agrees to help them.
Perseus agrees to help the king and his soldiers because he wants vengeance against Hades who k!lled his family.
So,he embarks on an adventure where he rides Pegasus, giant scorpions, meets djins .
The actors were all good.
The soundtrack was good, the visual effects were great. I liked the world they created, the costumes.
The movie is streaming on HBO Max and Netflix,and is for rent or sale on Amazon, Apple, AMC on Demand, DirecTv, Google Play, Redbox, Vudu, YouTube.
