The movie is a drama about loss.The story centers around a family with three kids,and is told by the sister.When she was 8 years old,her older brother,the smart one who was supposed to go to a good school,died drowned .The parents,especially the mother is devastated.

The kids always had a vivid imagination and created an imaginary world,seeing the magic in the mundane .After the older brother died,the remaining kids,although once so close,after trying to bail their father out of a gambling problem,go their separate ways .

Alice,loses herself in Alice in Wonderland’s magic,while Peter in the world of the Lost Boys of Peter Pan .Peter actually calls himself Peter Pan while Alice,Tiger-Lily.

The narrator implies that these are the real characters Peter Pan and Alice from Wonderland .

As a grown woman now,she narrates to her 3 kids,and they get kidnapped in the night as she checks on them,seeing the dream dust .She actually looks happy about losing her kids.

The acting was good,the visual effects top notch,but the movie bored me .I loved the interior design,the cottage they lived in,but other than that,I was counting the minutes until it was over.
