Phil and Claire Foster are a married couple who have two little children. Routine has settled in, as daily they are woken up before five o'clock in the morning by their kids,go to work, and get home tired,to the point all they want to do is go to sleep.

Each friday night they have date night, and they are so tired, they don't even want to go,but they do it so they'd get out of the house.

 

Out,at their book club, Phil finds out from one of their friends that he and his wife are getting a divorce because they've become like friends instead of spouses.

This makes them worry,so they decide to go on a real date in New York,at the most famous restaurant.

 

In New York they are approached by a couple who ask for money. Can you spell "foreshadowing"?

 

At the restaurant,which they didn't have a reservation for, they can't get a table because it's packed.

Waiting for a table to become available,at the bar,Phil hears the hostess calling for Tripplehorn,and seeing no one answers the call,he lies they are them.

 

Enjoying their meal,they are approached by two men,whom they think to be the restaurant's security. They are taken outside,where they are threatened. They soon realize the people who's reservation they took blackmailed some important person who sent their goons after them.

They realize the only way to get out of it is to go with it,and lie what the goons want is in Central Park. The goons take them there,and they manage to escape.

 

Going to the police,they realize the goons who are after them,are police officers.

 

After freaking out,they decide to go back to the restaurant to get the phone number of the real Tripplehorns,go to a client Claire had,as a realtor,who was a security expert, and ask him to help find them,so they can get their life back in order.

 

All this triggers a series of events full of action,adventure and laughter,from the viewers point of view,not the characters'.

 

The movie has it all,comedy,action,crime..

 

The movie is star studded ,and even Will I Am, has a cameo. Bill Burr is in it too,as Taraji's partner,but he has only a few lines.

Mark Wahlberg is always shirtless in this movie.

 

I liked their house which looked like a fairy tale one from the outside.

I liked the action scene with the cars stuck together which felt like a Fast and Furious movie or Torque.

And I laughed with tears holding on to my belly seeing them trying to dance at the club.

 

The soundtrack was fine.
