The movie is the sequel to the previous 2 Deadpool movies (2016 and 2018), and the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

 

In 2018, after Deadpool uses Cable's time travel device to save his girlfriend, Vanessa, from dying, he travels from his universe to another, on the Sacred Timeline, hoping to join The Avengers. Happy Hogan says No to that, and puts an end to his quest.

 

6 years later, Deadpool is no longer with Vanessa, and no longer the masked mercenary, and works as a car salesman,with his X-Force buddy, Peter.

 

During his birthday party, the Time Variance Authority police captures Wade / Deadpool and takes him to Paradox, who tells him they are an organization outside time, who monitors the Sacred Timeline. Wade is happy to be part of such an organization, until he hears that due to the Anchor Being (Logan / Wolverine) of his universe dying, his universe will be destroyed (so dumb!). Not just that, Paradox wants to use a Time Ripper machine to destroy the universe much faster (like now, instead of thousands of years later).

 

Wade steals a time travel device from Paradox and goes to Logan's grave,in order to resurrect him as he thinks he's not dead. But he is. So, he travels the multiverse to find a Logan the Anchor Being can be replaced with.

He finds what the TVA calls 'the worst Wolverine' ever, while Paradox also tells him one cannot replace an Anchor Being.

 

Paradox sends Deadpool and Wolverine to the Void, a place where the trash of space is dumped,or people they want to get rid of, and they meet Cassandra Nova, the very powerful and crazy sister of Professor X (the leader of the X-Men). Nova reigns supreme in the Void, as she made a pact with the TVA. She decides to let them be eaten by the creature Alioth,but Deadpool and Wolverine survive, and find more heroes they try to convince to return to Nova to take her down,or convince her to help them leave the Void, in order to leave the Void, and save Deadpool's universe.

 

The movie was funny and entertaining, but they lose me when they say things like , a universe is destroyed or must be,when the Anchor Being dies!

 

Deadpool sees a lot of versions of himself, some of them female, some of them still looking normal, with very long hair, who don't have regenerative powers.

 

The visual effects were great.

 

The actors were great. The movie has a cameo from Henry Cavill as Wolverine, and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.

 

The soundtrack was great, they play a lot of old music.

 

Viewer discretion is advised, as the movie contains mature language.

 

Deadpool & Wolverine is for rent / sale on Amazon Prime Video, AppleTv+, Google Play, Fandango at Home, YouTube Movies & Tv. By the end of October it will be on Netflix, and starting November 25,2024, the movie will also be streaming on HBO Max.
