Alice and Jack live in the 1950's desert company town,Victory,California.

Every morning, the men leave for their base in the desert, a base the wives are not allowed to visit, and to speak about.

The women are housewives, taking care of the home, cleaning, cooking, waiting for their men when they come home with a drink in their hand,by the door.

The wives are friends, they enjoy talking by the pool while drinking cocktails, going to the salon, and even dancing (I think it's ballet),but they excluded one who dared venture into the desert, trip which resulted in her son disappearing, the wives thinking it was punishment for disobeying the rules.

At a party hosted by Victory's founder, Alice sees the wife considered to have lost her mind, refusing to take the medication her husband is trying to give her.

While on a bus joyride, Alice sees a plane crash, and rushes to the site, but there's no one there. She touches the window of the building, and wakes up in the kitchen, cooking dinner.

The wife they excluded calls her telling her everything is off,but she doesn't believe her, and the next time she sees her, the woman k1lls herself. Alice is told the woman did not cut her thr0at,she just fell, but she's fine.

Alice starts suspecting there's something seriously wrong with the place, and starts asking questions she shouldn't.

I personally enjoyed the movie, it's the kind of movies I like, in which you don't know what's real, the action takes place in the mind.

Alice actually starts having weird occurrences from the moment the movie starts, as first she sees the eggs are empty shells. Then the walls close in on her,and so on. It starts small ,and becomes big. She keeps on having flashes of women dancing, their faces turning into zombies, giving her nightmares.

SPOILERS Alice discovers all the women in Victory are there against their will (except for Bunny). Some of them might not even be in real life with the men they're with in Victory,as when Jack fills the contract, he is asked if he has a relationship with Alice! So these men were probably kidnapping these women, forcing them into a simulation!

Where the movie didn't make sense was, they got to keep the women at home, tied to the bed, with some device keeping their eyes opened! Jack is shown pouring water into Alice's mouth with a towel (eeww),as Alice is heavy breathing, her lips being chopped(meaning she is dehydrated) ! Which means he has to feed her (HOW?),bathe her, clean her. It would have made more sense if they were in a facility, where the women would have been taken care of by nurses, because they can't stay long in such a state without nutrition, not to mention, they still go to the bathroom!

It would have been easier if they were just brainwashed, with the same programming inflicted on them in the simulation.

The men seem weak and pathetic (also unattractive),coming up with stupid excuses for their cowardness.

The movie had good cinematography and set design. The colors and world created, are beautiful. The women wore beautiful clothes and jewelry.

The acting was good, Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde were my favorites.

The visual effects are good.

The soundtrack was good, it consists more of female breathing, and reminded me a lot of the Dune soundtrack. It's eerie but beautiful. By the end of the movie, when the audience finds out what's going on, the soundtrack makes sense, as it's based on Alice's breathing.

The movie is streaming for free on AppleTv+, FuboTv, Paramount+, Paramount+ on AppleTv, Paramount+ on Roku, is for rent / sale on Amazon Prime Video, AppleTv.

Rating : Worth a watch !
