Fear Itself

Year of release : 2008

Run time : 42 min, 13 episodes

Genre : Thriller / Horror / Tv Series / Mini Series

Each episode is a stand alone movie. I loved most of the episodes.

The Sacrifice

is the first episode of the series, and centers around a group a friends who, trying to avoid the police, end up in a remote location where apparently people end up as food for a vampire.

Family Man,

one of my favorites, centers around a man who after being in a car crash and having a near death experience, his soul is swapped with the soul of a serial killer.

He is imprisoned as the serial killer is living in his house with his family. He is beaten in prison by the guards, one of the reasons being the serial killer murdered one of the guardians’ fiance.

The serial killer visits him in jail and taunts him.

He finally cuts a deal, pretending he’s gonna tell the police where the bodies are buried.

New Year’s Day

is my absolute favorite because of its unique take on the zombie story.

Briana Evigan’s character wakes up after the New Year’s party in a world over run by zombies.

As we see her trying to find out what’s going on,we see what happened the night before. We see in the background what happens as people party,in the news, they talk about an accident at some power plant.

The whole episode she is guided by the love she feels for this man,a man who doesn’t love her,as she tries to get to him. At the same time, her friend likes her,and now ,as a zombie, follows her around.

SPOILER !

I loved the twist at the end,as it is so unique,I’ve never watched a movie from the point of view of the zombie!

I loved how, even in the zombie state she was guided by the love she felt for that man,and how her friend, loved her just as much as she loved that undeserving man, following her around, keeping her safe!

Skin & Bones -

another one of my favorites, centers around a man who was lost in the mountains in winter.

When he comes back he just doesn’t look right. He looks skinny and weird, like a dead man walking .He refuses to eat while he says he’s too weak.

Bad things start happening,as the horses get killed,

SPOILERS FROM HERE ON

and we find out the man has a wendigo inside him.

The actor playing the man eaten alive by fury and frustration is amazing.

In Sickness & in Health -

is about a woman who’s about to get married and she receives a note saying “the person you are marrying is a serial killer” and the entire movie she's jumpy.

It has a twist at the end,as the note wasn’t meant for her.

The Circle

was another one of my favorites, about a writer with writer’s block who is visited by his friends on a remote location on a Halloween night.

Two "trick or treat" girls bring them a book which traps them inside this endless loop as they read it. The book brings about a darkness which envelopes the cabin in the woods  SPOILERS  and turns them into zombies.

The acting was great, and the episode was written in part by Johnathon Schaech.

Spirit Box

is about two friends who after a séance are haunted by a ghost,or are they?

They start believing that the sports teacher who has wondering eyes, and seems to be attracted to students, killed the girl whose murder was labeled as suicide by the police.

The episode has a twist at the end,I loved it.

Community

a couple who want to start a family decide to move in a closed community.

The husband soon discovers nothing is at it seems as their ways are medieval at best.

They meddle into people’s affairs and personal lives, they tell them when to have kids, they publicly shame them for having extra marital affairs, and cripple the ones who want to leave.

The acting was good.

Eater

is about a cannibal with superpowers captured by the police. And has amazing acting.
