During the 1960's Space Race between the Americans and the Rusians, a marketing specialist with a past, is asked by a member of the government to work for NASA, to make it more likable to the public, so the senators would endorse it.

 

She meets the people working for NASA and hires actors to play them.

 

Seeing how good she is at her job, she is asked by the same man who hired her to fake the moon landing as he wants to make sure everything will go well, and doesn't want any surprises happening in real time to affect the way people see the event.

 

The movie started out fine, but after the one hour marker it lost me,and by the end of the movie I was counting down the minutes left,as the last half an hour was atrocious to me! It bored me so much!

 

The acting was fine. Scarlett was the best, I loved her accents ( and outfits ,but hated the hair). Channing doesn't have much range as an actor, he pretty much always acts the same, no matter who he plays and in what context.

 

The visual effects were good.

 

The soundtrack was good. Most of the songs of the period for the movie were good.

 

The movie is labeled a comedy,but it didn't make me laugh, a romance,but there wasn't much romance in it, and a drama,which doesn't seem to be either. I would call it a science fiction movie, because we all know they haven't been to the place they say they've been. And they started the movie by telling us they faked it, but then changed their minds and told us they didn't.

 

The movie is out in cinemas.

 

Rating : Could have been a contender !
