Genre : Thriller / Comedy

Cast : Cameron Diaz, Harvey Keitel, Billy Zane

Our lead,Nathalie, is happily married to a man twice her age who helped her give up drinking and sedatives.

One night her husband goes fishing with her childhood friend who takes care of their family beach house, and while they're gone, one of her ex boyfriends shows up uninvited, trying to win her over after his relationship with another woman ended!

She breaks the no sedatives rule, and in the morning she wakes up as her husband's boat approaches the house, and she finds her ex naked in bed,and very much dead.

She hides him in the cellar and throws his clothes in the bay.

Her husband finds the chocolates and the flowers her ex brought her, and she confesses.

He decides to deliver him to the authorities until he realizes he stepped on the cellar door which wasn't closing, breaking the dead man's neck, and he could be imprisoned for life. They also find out the man  might be dead because he drank the whole bottle of methanol which was put in a vodka bottle, among the bottles of alcohol!!who does that?! I'm surprised he didn't taste / feel the difference !

The acting was fine, Harvey Keitel was funny, Cameron Diaz felt like she didn't give 100 % - when she was supposed to look scared she seemed to be trying not to laugh.

The plot had many twists and turns, as the husband wants to get away by any means necessary and at any cost, and the childhood friend seems to be not so innocent.
