The leading character has visions which turn out to be memories of past lives, having skills he didn't acquire in this life.

He lived most of his life believing he was a schizophrenic and is on the verge of a mental breakdown when we first meet him.

He needs money but he can't get a job due to his condition, and he also needs the pills which stop the vivid visions.

We discover there are people who remember their past lives and from them arise two factions of people, The Nihilists who want to destroy the world to stop the reincarnation cycle, and The Believers who accept what's being given to them, this gift of knowing their past lives and the knowledge which comes with it.

The lead discovers in the past lives he was the leader of The Believers and took the egg (a device the antagonist created to k!ll the world and stop the reincarnation cycle ) from the antagonist, whom he fought for ages, hiding it.

Now the antagonist chases him to find the egg and destroy the world.

The antagonist also k!lls people with a certain bullet which traps the soul so they won't be able to reincarnate and puts it in his vault (how does that work, only the writer knows)

I loved the action / fighting scenes, they were amazing!

Most of the actors were great. The visual effects were good..

What I didn't like - the lead didn't have his own love story. The love story in the movie belongs to a secondary character. Due to this, the movie felt like a skeleton without flesh on it. It seemed empty because in this life or the old one, he had no one, his mind didn't dream of anyone, he was like a shell of a man without true purpose.

Also, the way the one with the love interest looks at him, you'd think that she's in love with him.

The hip hop song in the opening scene doesn't match the scene nor the movie.

And.. Mark Wahlberg is a bad narrator.

The movie started out well, but it failed to deliver. It felt like something was missing, and I think it was the soul.
