Nell and Woody (what an unfortunate name!) are neighbors and former childhood friends. They go to the same high school, and Woody likes to torment Nell, as she is smart and what one would call a 'nerd'. Woody is one of the popular kids, who is not that bright.

The morning the movie starts, he thinks it's a good idea if his friend drives the car through a puddle of mud, soaking Nell in the dirty water.

She arrives at school a mess.

The same day they have a school trip to the museum, where they see the statue of the Aztec god of sorcery, smoking mirrors and night,and..very important, a shape shifter.

Nell and Woody fight right in front of it, and the next day they wake up as the other person.

Although at first they hate each other's life style, and try to make the other's life a mess, they realize they have to work together, help each other, if they want to return to their old bodies.

The movie is pretty vulgar, what carries the movie are the actors who are great, especially the leads who had to play the opposite sex .Samaire had to act like a popular jock, and nailed it, while Kevin had to act like a shy girl, who cried a lot, looking so cute and adorable, and I loved it!

What I liked about the movie was the fact the characters grow, change into better, especially Woody, who was a dumb pretty boy who liked to torture her and seemed not to care about anyone but himself.

One thing I didn't get was, Breanna seemed to be nice, and she accepted Nell right away, it seemed they were friends now, why at the end she had to be the bad guy ? It just felt they forgot their own story, or they had 2 different scripts they put together in the end!

The soundtrack was good. I didn't quite like the rap music, but I liked Elton's song!

The movie was produced by Elton John's production company Rocket Pictures, Elton John being one of the executive producers, along with his husband, David Furnish, and was independently distributed by Mel Gibson's Icon Production Company.
