Jen goes on vacation with her parents to Nice, France, after her boyfriend broke up with her.

At the hotel, she takes the elevator to her room, as her father is fighting more or less with the staff, and not understanding the French Spencer is speaking to her, she nods she wants to go back downstairs to where she came from. She keeps on walking ahead of him outside the hotel, to the beach he goes to.When he talks to her in French again, she finally says she has no idea what he says to her. Spencer asks her out, and Jen accepts.

Not having any dresses packed, she goes shopping, and buys an expensive dress she can’t afford, that Spencer ends up cutting off her later that night, because she says she can’t breathe in it, and her father will have to pay for it anyway (thing I found dumb. Because if she could put it on, she could take it off.And she keeps on stretching it, so I guess, she can take it off).

Seeing she’s honest, Spencer decides to be honest too, and tells her he k1lls people for a living, being a spy. Thing the audience already knows, as he’s there on a mission, fighting and k1lling people left and right. Luckily or unluckily, for him, she fell asleep because she drank too much champagne, and didn’t hear any of it.

Liking Jen, and wanting a normal life, Spencer tells his superior he quits, and tells Jen’s father when meeting him, he wants to marry her.

3 years later, the two are married, and seem to have a good relationship. Jen gets him a vacation to Nice for his birthday, but Spencer doesn’t seem too happy about it. He also doesn’t want a birthday party, and Jen sends her father to get him from work to take him out to dinner for his birthday, but he takes him home to change, where they have a surprise party.

Spencer got a delivery from his superior, with the postcard which usually meant a new assignment, but he calls him to tell him he’s out for good. Jen’s father sees that, and finds it suspicious his boss, who’s a man sends him hugs and kisses.

In the morning, one of his friends and colleagues, who slept over because he was drunk, is trying to k1ll him, and Spencer finds his superior dead in his hotel room.

He takes Jen with him, trying to get out of town, but they are chased by their neighbours and co-workers who apparently were sleeping agents, waiting for the 20 million bounty on his head to be activated!

The movie started well, I really liked it, until SPOILERS it’s revealed her father had k1llers in their life to take him out, thinking he is married to her to get to him, and activates them, putting his own daughter in danger, while trying to k1ll him! END OF SPOILERS

I liked Jen, she was honest and close to her parents.

Her mother is an alcoholic, always with a drink in her hand, making a drink or asking for 3 drinks.

I also liked Spencer, he changed for Jen, without her even knowing it, wanting to be a better man.

I liked her father too, until the reveal.

I liked the action / fighting scenes.

The acting was good.

The soundtrack was a mix, because in the beginning it sounded like the one of old French romantic movies , and after, in some car chasing scenes it had Latino influences(or so I think). In the beginning it reminded me of the Stepford Wives.

The visual effects were good.

The movie has a rating under 21% from the critics of Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, and a score in the 40% from their audiences. IMDB’s audiences gave it a 5.5 rating.

Cinema Score audiences graded the movie a B.

The movie grossed a little over 98 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 75 million dollars.
