Roy Miller spots June at the airport, and keeps on bumping into her. When she is told her plane ticket doesn’t allow her access on the plane, he tells her “Sometimes things happen for a reason”.

The CIA agency talk about Miller, and how he acted out of character on his last mission. Fitzgerald sees him on camera bumping into June a few times and talking to her, and thinks they might be working together,so he puts her back on the plane.

The plane seems pretty empty, yet earlier, the stewardess told June they were completely booked!

Miller finds it strange Fitz put June back on the plane, and when she sits on a chair close to him, they start talking. She tells him about the car her father drove that she loves and restores for her sister who is getting married within a few days, as she restores cars.

As there are turbulences, June’s luggage falls on top of her ,but Miller catches it,and seeing she spilled her drink, she goes to the restroom. While she’s in there, Miller fights everybody on the plane, as apparently, they are all after him.

When June gets out,she finds out everybody’s dead, including the pilots,so Miller is doing his best to land the plane.

Once on the ground,Roy gives her something to drink, which she does (this becomes a habit,as she drinks everything he gives her (he’s not forcing her,by the way!),and ends up drugged every time!!! She does not learn her lesson. And this is a grown woman!I know not to take drinks from strangers since I was a kid.), while he tells her not to trust the agents who are gonna visit her, don’t get in their cars, and if they’re gonna repeat words like “secure” and safe” it means they’re gonna k1ll her.

June wakes up in her bed the next day, and finds post-its around the house from Roy, who even cooked her breakfast.

While at the fitting for the brides’ maid dress, with her sister, she is approached by agents who get her out lying to her about her car. They ask her to get into their car, and she does!

They tell her the story Roy said they would, and that they’re gonna take her to a safe place.

While they keep on telling her she’s safe, someone keeps on k1lling these agents, and Roy makes an appearance by falling on top of the car she’s in.

When they finally stop the car, she runs away from him, and goes talking to her ex boyfriend.

While at a diner with her ex, Roy shows up, taking her with him, making it look like he’s taking her hostage. Although she says she doesn’t want to stay with him, she stays.

Roy tells her he is hunted for a battery which could power a town or small city, created by a teenager. He found out Fitzgerald wants it to sell it and k1ll the kid. So he put the kid in a safe place, trying to figure out how to make things right.

I personally enjoyed the movie, it’s a lot like Killers with Ashton Kutcher, released around the same time, but I enjoyed this one more, somehow.

I liked the action scenes and fighting scenes.

June is always freaking out in dangerous situations, especially the kind involving sho0tings, and Roy keeps on giving her something to drink which puts her out for 18 hours. So she spends most of her time dr@ged, when it’s not Roy doing it, it’s the bad guys who want information from her.

I liked June, she is honest, and Roy, who seems to get attached to June (probably because she’s the opposite of the people he’s been around), and wants to help and save her at all costs, even if she doesn’t want to accept his help. They don’t make these kind of characters anymore, now the lead is like the villain, annoying and entitled.

They keep on going from place to place, without her having any change clothes or make-up, but she always has good clothes around, which match her figure.

Knight is Miller’s real name, from before he became an agent and took a different identity.

The acting was good.

Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise also played together in Vanilla Sky,in 2001. Whenever I saw them driving erratically, it reminded me of the scene in Vanilla Sky (one of my favorite movies), in which Cameron’s character does it, and it felt like deja-vu.

Gal Gadot makes a cameo appearance as Naomi.

The soundtrack was good, it seemed to have French influences due to the accordion. Somehow it sounded funny, matching Roy’s antics which to the passers-by could look like insanity. It switched when June was dr@gged.

The visual effects were good.

The reviews from the critics and the audience are around the 50 marker on both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, with a 6.3 out of 10 on IMDB.

Cinema Score audiences graded the movie a B+.

The movie grossed 262 million dollars at the box office, against a budget of 117 million dollars.

Before Tom Cruise joined the cast, the role was offered to Adam Sandler! Then Chris Tucker and Eva Mendes joined the cast, when the movie was allegedly titled Trouble Man. Even Gerard Butler was approached to play the lead.

The movie has a 2014 Hindi remake titled “Bang bang!”.

Rating : Worth a watch !
