The movie is based on the Dutch novel De Zaak Alzheimer, the Alzheimer Case , by Jef Geeraerts, and a remake of the Belgian movie The Alzheimer Case,a previous adaptation of the book.
Alex is an assassin, who in his old age, isn't what he used to be. His memory is starting to fade,as Alzheimer's disease is settling in,just like in his brother's case, who is now a vegetable.
He is trying to get out of this criminal organization he keeps on accepting hits for ,but he can't. They give him a new job and Alex, who writes on his arms things he's supposed to remember, takes out the people until he finds out his new hit is a 13 year old girl.
He refuses to do it,so they hire someone else to do what he was hired for,and kill him.
Alex finds out the girl was killed, and discovers his former partners are after him. He kills one of them, and starts taking out the people in the criminal organization one by one, leading to a billionaire woman, who's son is into kids.
The FBI and Mexican agents who were investigating the child exploitation,as the girl was pimped out by her own father (!), are after Alex, one FBI agent, played by Guy Pearce, being on his side, the Mexican agent being set on catching or killing him.
The movie was entertaining, it has some pretty good fighting scenes and intrigues which keep you on the edge of your seat.
The acting was good. Liam Neeson did a great job playing the man losing his memory. Monica Bellucci was the mother of the man interested in young girls, who wasn't necessarily evil, she was just protecting the son she knew was evil.
The soundtrack was good.
If there were any visual effects ,they were good, since I didn't catch them.
Rating : Worth a watch !
